Charlie Dominici is best know for his brief albeit important stint as lead singer with Dream Theater in the late 80's. After a long hiatus away from music, Charlie came back in 2005 with an ambitious project, the first part of his O3 trilogy. This is the final part of the trilogy and by far the best. Charlie surrounded himself with an excellent team, including guitarist Brian Maillard who offers an impressive performance. Charlie's vocal performance is brilliant, and the material on this CD fits his powerful voice to a tee. Excellent compositions with catchy melodies, very tight arrangements, excellent metal riffage without too much pointless noodling. There are no weak moments in that album and the disk as a whole works very well. Even the rock ballad So Help Me God flows seamlessly throughout the recording. There are some nice keyboard passages reminicent of Kevin Moore's style on the track Enemies Of God. Superb production quality, I have to admit I am a bit hard to please in the prog metal category but this is an album that really clicked upon first listen, it was even worthy of being downloaded on my iPod! Recommended to prog metal fans who enjoy the likes of Fates Warning, Symphony X, Vanden Plas and Dream Theater.
